The facilities you and your guests need to help make your Yarra Valley Winter Wedding experience ‘picture-perfect’ won’t always seem obvious…
To help make choosing the perfect wedding location a bit easier, our Foothills team have put their heads together, and come up with this handy checklist of all the things you need to be thinking of.
|Onsite accommodation||Wedding venues should be ruled out, if they don’t allow for bridal parties (and guests) to book onsite Yarra Valley accommodation. Choice onsite accommodation allows you space to put the finishing touches to your appearance, and lets guests chose if they would like somewhere to stay before or after the reception.|
|Free parking||All guests will appreciate not having to drive around looking for parking. Or, worse still, having to pay for parking. Choose Yarra Valley wedding venues that have enough free parking available for all your guests.|
|Beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces to exchange your vows||You can’t rely on perfect weather during Yarra Valley winters. Don’t let rain ruin your wedding; only consider wedding venues which offer a choice of either indoors or outdoors ceremony venues.|
|Your choice of decorations||There are many ways to ‘walk up the aisle’ and exchange vows. When looking at wedding venues, find out if they have the flexibility to handle your chosen style of ceremony.|
|Wedding photo backdrops||How many weddings have a huge gap in-between the ceremony and reception. Find wedding venues that have a generous amount of Yarra Valley native forest and manicured lawns and gardens surrounding them. That way guests won’t have to spend hours filling in time whilst the bridal party and your photographer travel to the ‘perfect’ wedding back drop.|
|Flexible onsite catering||The majority of wedding venues only offer a limited amount of catering styles. Choose a reception centre that allows for nearly all food preferences and budgets.|
|Is the wedding venue fully licenced||If your family and friends like to celebrate with a small glass or two, choose wedding venues which have a fully stocked bar, a licence or facilities to serve alcohol.|
|Reception decorating||Find out if the venues you are inspecting allow you to decorate the reception area in the style you think ‘fits’ your wedding. Ideally a wedding venue should be flexible enough to accommodate most types of decorations.|
|Is the wedding venue close to the services you’ll need||Brides and bridal parties need hairdressers, make-up artists, car rental and many other services close by the wedding venue. Try to choose wedding venues that are located close to larger Yarra Valley commercial centres which offer all essential wedding support services.|
|Does the wedding venue have experience||Weddings can be stressful enough, without having to deal with inexperienced venue managers. Make sure the wedding venues you’re inspecting, have long-term experience in holding functions of all different styles.|
We’re sure that after checking out the numerous Yarra Valley wedding venues, you will find that there aren’t many that will fulfil all your expectations and requirements. We are also sure Foothills does have all the features needed to meet each bride’s individual requests.
